Account & Data Deletion

Effective 13 July 2026

This page explains how to delete your Yedu account, or specific data, and what happens when you do. It applies to accounts created in the Yedu app (iOS and Android) and on yedu.shop.

Delete your account in the app

Open Yedu and go to Profile.
Tap Settings, then Account.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

Deletion takes effect immediately for your profile and listings, and your personal data is deleted or anonymised from our systems within 30 days.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email privacy@yedu.shop from the email address linked to your account with the subject "Account deletion request". We will verify it is you, confirm the request, and complete deletion within 30 days.

What is deleted

Your profile, name, email address, and sign-in connections.
Your preferences: home countries, interests, city, and saved items.
Your listings, including their photos and videos.
Your messages with other users.
Device and usage data linked to your account.

What we keep, and for how long

Transaction records (orders, payouts, refunds): kept for up to 7 years where tax and accounting law requires, then deleted.
Records of fraud or serious Terms violations: kept as long as needed to protect other users and meet legal obligations.
Messages held for an open dispute: kept until the dispute is resolved, then handled as above.

Anything we keep is kept only for the purpose stated and is deleted after the retention period ends.

Delete some data without closing your account

Listings: delete any listing from Profile, My listings.
Saved items: unsave any item by tapping its heart.
Preferences: change your home countries and interests in Profile at any time.
Marketing: opt out from any marketing email, or in Settings, Notifications.
For anything else, email privacy@yedu.shop and tell us what you would like removed.

Guest browsing

If you explored Yedu as a guest, no account exists on our servers. Your preferences are stored only on your device and are removed when you delete the app.
